Great restaurant to get any desired meal (though the breakfast menu is by far the most extensive). Great pancakes, eggs, skillets and sides. For being "greasy spoon-like" it actually is all fresh tasting and not grease-laden. Yum!

As an addendum to my last review : the Family Restaurant is HIGHLY recommended. Friendly staff and service, and they got our food out to us very quickly. If you stay at the Motel you get a coupon off of breakfast the next day making it a very affordable place to eat breakfast. Their French Toast was awesome. We'll definitely be going back here for breakfast again, even if we don't stay there for the night.

The Bay Family Restaurant is a good breakfast stop. They have some of the best pancakes in town (made from scratch) and boast a good cup of coffee. If you get a chance, try some of their new iced teas. They are amazing.

On a Thursday afternoon, I was thumbing through my calender, and to my utter horror, I discovered that I had an 8:00 Friday morning meeting in Green Bay. I launched an internet search for a Green Bay hotel, and Trip Advisor came up. This little gem was the fourth highest rated hotel out of the forty some rated hotels in the greater Green Bay area. I surmised that the merry pranksters on TA had trumped up the reviews to help a friend and his failing business, or to start a cult movement or some such, because the full price was $41 dollars per night!!!!!!!!! Skeptical as always, I phoned the hotel, and the very nice desk clerk said "Oh Yah, I read dem reviews sometimes. Dare all true, yah (I'm taking liberties relative to the Green Bay accent). She even gave me the business rate of $36 per night. It's a traditional Motel, where you park immediately in front of your room. The room was small but spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was extremely nice. And it cost me $36!!!!!!! It's places like this that make Wisconsin great. If you had a place charging this price in Illinois, the hosts would likely be murdering the guests, and then selling body parts on the internet. The Bay Family Restaurant, which is contiguous to the motel, also rocked. You get a $2.50 coupon for staying at the motel, and a large serving of awesome corned beef hash, with two eggs and coffee was $4.00. Need a place to stay in Green Bay? Check this place out!

Since 1989 whenever I visit Green Bay I've planned my stays here. Outside the door parking, quiet, friendly and nice staff central to the greater G.B. area. A "U" shaped layout you park your car outside in front of your room. Coffee maker, hair dryer, cable and walk out the door straight to eat at thier restaurant or put another way, you could fall out of bed and get breakfast in minutes. Clean rooms and quiet neighbors usually. For us a mid-week stay was under $50 and only a few dollars more on a weekend. We always eat at least 2 meals at thier restaurant with bonus discount coupons for guests to use to boot. I guess it would cost more during a Packers weekend but a great jumping off point for a day trip to Door County of river rafting/casinos northwest of town. The food was very good as were the portions. Surprisingly I found a survery of best motels in the area and out of 50 this one came in at #5! Can't be beat!

An absolutely perfect slice of Americana near (but not too near) Lambeau Field. Five stars for ambiance. Additional five stars for the rock bottom prices. We were in town for an event at the Resch Center and Lambeau, so we were put up in a hotel nearby. Before leaving town, I wanted breakfast and the Yelp app led us here. It's a restaurant attached to an old-school hotel - the kind where cars are parked in front of each individual door that leads right to the lot. We pulled in and couldn't find parking - had to park on the street. Ok, I told the husband, if there's a long wait, we'll find somewhere else. Though there was a lobby full of people when we walked up, it turned out just to be people paying their check. After some confusion among all the people, I asked if there was a waiting list for the counter seating - it was first come, first served, so we strolled right up and sat down. I was next to two older folks who clearly meet up there very Sunday. The waitresses knew their orders (cinnamon raisin toast for him, a single chocolate chip pancake for her). Adorable. Here's my breakfast secret - I always want to eat all of the things. If I get an omelette, I'm sad I don't have breakfast meat. If I get a waffle or pancakes, I'm sad I don't have eggs. Choosing one thing at breakfast is so difficult for me. So here we were in breakfast purgatory again. I couldn't decide between the biscuits and gravy ($5) and the breakfast sandwich croissant ($3.50) - so I ordered both. My total was equal to the $8 husband spent on a huge omelet with house potatoes and toast. He had coffee, I had juice and our total was $20. Amazing. They do offer a small portion of biscuits and gravy and I could have gotten that and been happy - they split the biscuits, so it's like getting four pieces. The half would have been two and just fine. Oh well. The gravy had large chunks of sausage and wasn't overly peppered or spicy, as some can be. It was thick and creamy and delicious. The biscuits were buttery and held up well under the gravy. The breakfast sandwich satiated my other breakfast cravings - the croissant was a little flimsy to hold up to the egg, bacon and cheese, but at that price, it served the exact purpose I wanted, so I was quite happy. If I'm back here, you'd better believe I'll be asking if I can have banana chocolate chip pancakes (they have both banana and chocolate chip on the menu). As I was walking out, I heard a waitress tell an older couple that their bill had been taken care of. Someone else in the restaurant had asked for it and paid it. I loved that this was clearly a place for the tourists, but still had its cast of local regulars. I kind of wish I could go hang out and have coffee and eavesdrop. It was perfect.

Great breakfast spot. We ate here during our trip to Green Bay and they did not disappoint. The day before we had breakfast at another restaurant that we did not care for. After eating at the Bay Family restaurant we wish we would have cone here the first day. The cinnamon French toast was delicious. Mg buddy got the corned beef scramble and it looked even better. If you are in Green Bay, this is the only place you need to eat breakfast at.

If you are in GB- stop here for breakfast. Born and raised in GB, and I always came here for Sunday brunch. Last week I was visiting and stopped in for breakfast- same wonderful owners, same friendly staff- always good food. I recognized a handful of the same awesome waitresses from a decade ago- they must be doing something right with not only the food, but how they treat their employees :) Love this place!

Passing through and lucked out stopping by this place. I got the fried perch which was delicious! The batter was light, fish was flacky, and NO fish smell..ie fresh. The kids got the normal breakfast food which they downed. The service was good and friendly. If I lived nearby, this place would be a regular stop. Definitely stop by and try the perch.

Type of restaurant that you normally see on Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives. Decor is typical of a small town place i.e. from the early 80's but you have to overlook that. Food was good and prices reasonable. Their fried lake perch tasted fresh and was light and flaky. Fettuccine alfredo was better than average. My daughter had the strawberry french toast and ate the whole thing do that says a lot. All in all decent food at reasonable prices. If you like to go where the locals go, this place is it.

I had a very positive experience at Bay Family Restaurant. You get a lot of food for the price (which is very reasonable). Also the staff is very warm and friendly. I ordered the southern breakfast and the beef fritters we're amazing. My friend ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and they we're HUGE! DEFINITELY will go there again! Also the bathrooms we're very clean.

Every time we come to Green Bay for a Packer game we stay at the Bay Motel and have breakfast at the Bay Family Restaurant. Good food, friendly service, and a decent price. The Motel also gave us a coupon for the restaurant when we checked in. I got the Eggs Benedict both days and my husband got the Skillet.

I'm not sure if it's that we've been staying in the rooms that permit dogs so they've been kinda hmm low-totem pole room~wise but WOW I was so happy with the night we spent at The Bay Motel. The price was fair. The towels were spotless. The room was clean. There was a small fridge and in-room coffee. The bed was a little too soft-on the Goldylocks scale but overall-not even counting the coupon for the discount at the restaurant next door-I was really happy. Thanks!
